My Common Test are over and I could finally post again. Speaking of which, It's been a VERY long time ever since I've posted anything. Sometimes I just felt guilty and disappointment to myself, feeling that I should at least take some time out of my studies and revision to post to readers. However, circumstances don't allow that to happen. Or maybe it's just an excuse. Well, I've already got a feeling that this blog is rather dead, viewers or writer. But never mind, I'll still go on. I've quarrelled with my mum. And it's not the first time. I've quarrelled with her like almost at least twice every year ever since Primary 5 I think. I meant by quarrels as those type of really heated debate. Really. Most of the time, she would think that she's right by whatever she said of me when I finally kept quiet, no longer wanting to quarrel, and begin chanting what I already know as common sense, then compare me with others, lamenting the "fact" that I "always" play computer games, even going to the extent of stating me going "crazy" due to the somehow "excess" gaming. She even told me that she would bring me to a shrink someday. Everytime, I gave in, kept quiet, showing enough mercy and forgiveness because I've thought that she would realise the growth I already had even when I was just a primary school student while she still didn't learn anything, after all these years. After all these years of swallowing my pride and the truth, I can't stand it any longer. This time, after she chanted for more than an hour, I had to say something. I am not the kid anymore. I am human, just like anyone of you. I may be just a teenager, but I am human. I have thoughts on my own. I know what's right and what's wrong. Don't ever think that I don't know anything. And don't ever think of me as a kid anymore. And don't ever think of any child who is already a young teen as a kid. Coz' things always never seem to be what they are. That includes us. Children.

It's been a full week since my last post. Been rather busy. Today is Valentine's Day! Today, my class totally went crazy. Well, almost the entire school went crazy. Mostly girls. There's brownies, cookies, chocolates, roses and whatever. Then there's epic "Truth or Dare" (Mostly '"Dare". They don't allow Truths.) all around my class. Like I'd said, the girls totally went bonkers while the guys are like "nah". The lively environment in our school made time fly during lessons, and we all have had a fun time today. However, to some, Valentine's Day is just a painful reminder that they are still unattached. But, who cares? Valentine's Day includes the love for everyone: Friends, family and the people we know. Share the love.

The final R: Resilience. Throughout the three days of BreakThru Camp... We have learnt all 3 Rs. Relationships, Responsibility and Resilience. What is Resilience, you ask? Resilience is the ability to work with adversity in such a way that one comes through it unharmed or even better for the experience. Resilience means facing life’s difficulties with courage and patience – refusing to give up. It is the quality of character that allows a person or group of people rebound from misfortune, hardships and traumas. Another famous icon: Thomas Edison, the greatest inventor of all times. Remember the light bulb? How many times did he fail? 1000? No. 2000? No. 5000? Nope. He failed 10,000 times! Well, "failed" isn't quite the right word. "I haven't failed. I've identified 10,000 ways this doesn’t work." This is what Thomas Edison said himself. Such a positive mindset. No wonder he eventually succeeded in creating light bulbs that actually work properly, eh? Another story: Colonel H. Sanders. Colonel? Is he a Colonel in the Army?? Well, not in that case. He's the founder of the fast food restaurant franchise: Kentucky Fried Chicken - KFC. Go check on him. If it wasn't his resilience, we wouldn't be enjoying those crispy chickens at all. If you fall seven times, stand up eight. Never back down, never quit. If these amazing people can do it, why not us?
